Lisa Thompson grew up the youngest of four on a cotton farm in west Texas. From an early age, physical fitness has played an important part in her life. An injury she sustained when she was four led her into gymnastics, a sport that helped prevent her from further impairment. She spent much of her youth being active in outdoor activities and various sports including basketball, bike riding, swimming, and water skiing. Lisa was even the mascot at her high school football games.
Upon marrying her husband, Kurt, Lisa moved to Midland, Texas where her physical activity slowed significantly. She became pregnant and like most women, gained weight. After Zach – the first of four children – was born, she started taking an aerobics class to get back into shape and was hooked. She received her group exercise certification in 1998 and has never looked back. Lisa now has a background in group fitness, spinning, water aerobics, personal training, Pilates (mat, reformer, and tower), and yoga. Being in the industry for several years has helped her realize that there is always something new and exciting about exercise. She enjoys growing alongside her clients as she helps them meet their goals. Lisa’s objective is to coach, inspire, and push her clients to be the best that they can be in all that they do.
In January of 2001, Lisa and her family moved to Edmond, OK where Lisa works as a yoga instructor and personal trainer. Lisa is a dedicated wife and mom and outside of spending time with her family and pursuing fitness, her hobbies include making “good” food and following ice hockey. Her faith in Jesus Christ is an important part of her life and she believes, as stated in Ephesians 2:8-10…
